All individuals involved in construction must comply with BSI Flex 8670 – Core Criteria for Building Safety.

The PD BR’s competence is assessed under PAS 8671 – Framework for Competence for Individual Principal Designers, and the PC BR’s under PAS 8672 – Framework for Competence for Individual Principal Contractors.

Alongside the competences above, organisations should provide their competence framework, including training matrices and organisational charts to ensure they can fulfil their duties imposed by the BSA.

All SCF contactors are pre-vetted for competence, however, you should satisfy yourself that the designers and contractors you are appointing are competent.
