The BSA aims to improve the safety of all construction projects, whether new build or refurbishments regardless of scale. It demands increased accountability and transparency from all new duty holders.

The BSA overhauls the traditional Building Control role and introduces specific measures for HRBs alongside the introduction of the Building Safety Regulator to manage and monitor competence of the Building Control professionals.

The BSA also provide residents with a stronger voice and ensure they understand what they can do to contribute to maintaining building safety standards.

The aim of the BSA is for the creation of structurally sound and fire safe buildings.
