Masterclass in Embedding Safety and Wellbeing into Company Activities

SCF partner BAM Construction has continued its Safe and Well Programme, working towards the vision of  ‘Everyone Safe and Well Every Day’ . Part of the programme was to select four areas of focus for 2025 based on feedback received in a survey of all BAM employees and the supply chain working with BAM at the time.

In Q1 the theme was ‘Don’t Walk by’ to empower everyone to speak up and be involved. For Q2 the theme is ‘Working Together’ and  ‘Work Life Balance’ and ‘Continuous Development’ will be introduced in Q3 and Q4.

Louise Jermak, Principal Occupational Health and Safety Advisor for BAM said, ‘This is a major initiative in which BAM assessed its entire UK and Ireland operations and has introduced this programme of activity around safety and wellbeing for 2025 and beyond.  The Safe and Well Steering Team is drawn from senior levels from our operational business and support services to ensure that each quarterly initiative is embedded throughout the company and at all levels, covering every activity. In this way, safety and wellness will become intrinsic to the way we work, and not something added on.
